Come and lose your ties with us!

Lose your ties and prepare yourself for a journey (in your favorite concert hall in your city)! The Trouble Notes Lose Your Ties Release Tour had its‘debut on February 16th, 2018 in Hamburg and will serenade through Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy and USA. In the name of sacrifice and hope, the tour ties together the last three years of travel and their individual development within their respective musical journeys. Common passions replace old careers and connect the three musicians violinist Bennet Cerven, guitarist Florian Eisenshmidt and percussionist Oliver Maguire. Inspired by their encounters and new cultures their songs resemble a musical compass. Together they conquer the world with their music.

The Trouble Notes:

The story of The Trouble Notes starts in Manhattan at a Wall Street investment fund and leads to the metropolis Berlin marking the beginning of a new chapter. This chapter stands in the name of travel and lets the group understand that music is a universal language. Their emotional, pan-cultural music, forms personal memories into a colorful melting pot of different traditions. Their songs lack lyrics, because they want the listener to be able to create his or her own vision of what transpires in each song and not restrict it by any language other than music itself.

„Music from everywhere for everyone“.

Through the art of storytelling, the group invites their audience to join them on a cultural and geographical expedition. The development of the travelling musician is not only audible, but omnipresent. The great response of the audience and various online platforms in Germany, UK and France, result from the group’s ability to share their energy with their audience and fascinate them by breaking with musical traditions. Perhaps it is also their natural openness, that is extremely charming and enchanting. Everyone that joins the universe of The Trouble Notes remains a part of it, and often morph from a normal concertgoer into a true Troublemaker- sharing in the journey of the group.

In February 2018, the debut album Lose Your Ties was released, followed by their Album Release tour.

The main theme of the album is their story. Risking the safety of home and job to follow a passionate dream – experiencing new cultures (specifically their music), and enhancing our repertoire. While our specific dream is important, Lose Your Ties applies to everyone in a general sense. It’s about identifying what you want, then finding your obstacles, and setting yourself free from all that holds you back from living your dreams.

Lose Your Ties is not only the tales of experience past, but the start of our new journey.
